A Social Band-Aid
FUN FACT] - After leaving the military I picked up a severe case of social anxiety. Like so many of us with baggage, I found a creative way to overcome it all for the purpose helping others.
Specifically, I learned to love getting in front of as many people as possible with the intent of helping others. Being on stage at a conference, delivering a sales presentation, or teaching is the most perfect blend of connection and disconnection that I could hope for. I’m alone, together, and helping others, all at once.
We all have baggage and history. For me, the fear of 1:1 has forced me elevate to help many.
How can you reframe what scares you to help others?
